STORIES
True or Not
SPACE-SHIPS & BLUES
Ever since I was a young kid I believed in UFO’s and the power of Music, having gone on stage at seven and seeing my first UFO when I was twelve, it made for an interesting life.
Turning into a professional musician when I was just fourteen and standing about one hundred feet beneath a silent object the size of an aircraft carrier that blocked out every star in the summer’s night sky in my early twenties revealed there was only one consistent pattern; I played, practiced or performed music every single day of my life up until then and beyond into the now. I did not see UAP / UFO that frequently. But I did see them.
Every day has been filled with brain challenging and sometimes muscle-taxing adventures. I had to work even if it wasn’t in music so I learned many things to support my family and myself. The music was always in my head and an instrument in my hand every possible moment. The unidentified objects came and went as if they had no interest in me at all, but the melodies, rhythms and rhymes never ceased. The almost haunt me. The unknown, the paranormal do not. I just accept it. It’s not that hard when you’ve seen a fleet perform maneuvers which defy known physics.
Sometimes I wonder if these visitors like music and Art the way humanity does. Have they ever had an idea for a song just pop into their heads? Have they sat at an easel with a brush on canvas and painted the ocean or a field of flowers? That’s what I wonder but what do they wonder? They’ve watched our music videos and listened to the radio. Do they prefer Muddy over Metallica or is it just all human noises?
The subject of my interest in extraterrestrial life and my music pursuits do have something clearly in common and that is I can neither summon a new song idea or a space-ship to suddenly appear on command. They reveal when ready.
